Kirara, a girl who knows about the people who follow idols around, hates the way she looks and has an overwhelming desire for her face to be cuter. One day, she meets a strange old woman, the yokai Zunbera. Zunbera tells her that if she undergoes the Zunbera`s spirit surgery, she can have the beautiful face she desires. And so, Kirara undergoes the spirit surgery and becomes beautiful... but she pays a high price. Now beautiful, those around her turn jealous eyes on her, and Kirara is suddenly beset by pain. Her face peels off. She has become a Faceless!
