100000/10 This anime is a f**king masterpiece every character and the story was so well written. This is really a true hidden gem. Honest review, (long comment ahead) when I started watching gintama, after few eps I dropped it for about 2 months for the same reason as many others that it was slow and not getting anywhere plus it was too long for me to watch but after few months I continued it(and I'm glad I did). It is hard to get into this series at starting and many judged it by first ep but keep watching it and when start enjoying this there is no going back. Gintama was a roller-coaster of emotion it made me laugh and cry at the same time, it made me fall in love with it. If you are looking for something different with all the genres and themes this is the right place coz gintama has it all. With its gag humor and comedic side this anime also have dark themes, sad backstories (which might end up making you depressed), and legendary fight scenes. Everyone's complaining that they don't want to watch comedy, when it will get serious etc but trust me when it gets serious you will be f**king crying missing those good old days when they used to do silly thing and it was funny to watch, enjoy all that comedy while you have it coz you're gonna miss it later on. And when this anime will end you'll be brawling like a child, not because it has a sad ending but because this masterpiece had ended and there is nothing more left to watch. You'll never regret watching it every second of it is worth watching, but if you're not watching it you're missing out a lot of fun and it's the biggest mistake of your life. Words can't describe how good this anime is and now the long journey has finally came to its end🤧🤧. Gonna miss watching this anime soo much🥲🥲. Btw heard there is a new spin-off of gintama is coming up, hope it will release tomorrow morning when I wake up(lol)😂. It's gonna be hard living without this anime anymore🥲, it was such a stress reliever🤧🤧. I doubt any series will be able to take it's place it my heart for a long time, going to recommend gintama to every soul alive on this planet
