Buddy Daddies may be called a rip off of Spy × Family, but believe me, that statement is far from the truth. This show encompasses dark themes such as murder and trickery whilst being wholesome, which while Spy × Family also does, it does to a much greater level. It shows life can't always be easy and their are obstacles in the way and not everything is happy-go-to which opposes the anime it is often shown to go up against. The characters writing is incredible, they show real emotions and the voice actors for these characters got their voices on point. Miri, which is the equivalent to Anya in this anime is much more thought out, she shows how a child should generally behave and doesn't have powers which is a great thing personally for me. She shows the true nature of a child and how they behave (such as how oblivious they are). Meanwhile, the main reason this anime is way better than Spy × Family is due to the two adults, beign Kazuki and Rei, their story goes much deeper than that of Loid and Yor who are their competitors from Spy × Family. Their character development and their emotions are so well displayed that honestly, you could feel for them. Not only that, the side characters also were as good as the main cast. The sound in this anime is nice, calming and friendly when it need to be and aggressive during actio themes. The art is nice and refreshing which is always a plus for me. This anime is a 9.3/10 for me and honestly, I am glad i watch this. It truly should win the most wholesome anime award if their is one.
