The animation is pretty jarring at first, and it might take a few episodes to get used to it. Once you're used to it though, it's not all that noticeable and pretty interesting. The designs of the characters are pleasing.
The introduction of new characters is mysterious, and I couldn't really tell what type of personality they would have at first. There are some twists and unexpected developments too. The show gives "side" characters a nice amount of screen time. They're not too overbearing, though they aren't entirely drowned out - it's a nice balance.
The anime also does a good job at showing the split between carnivores and herbivores. The plot is intriguing, and at first you're not entirely sure where it'll go or what will happen. There are a few "what the actual hell" and "noooo" moments, which I find pretty funny.
Overall pretty nice anime, I'm enjoying the second season so far too.
