A wonderfully charming show, and the only reason I created an account on here.

Beryl and Sapphire ( Xiao Lu he Xiao Lan) is a show which has everything. It became my everything for a time, haha. Beautiful romances, precious friendships, two main characters who are always different yet always stay the same and Flax. The particular highlights for me were the 'Archrivals' and the 'Demon King' stories, and I personally disliked the 'Roboberyl' episodes, but that doesn't matter when the next episode is always something unique. The format can be annoying at times, if you want a continuation for an episode that only lasts 2-3 minutes, the shows format could have you waiting for 50 more episodes, only to never get a extention at all, however, despite this, the show always draws you in. I remember sobbing my eyes out to the episode in which Sapphire can never see his memories, but knows his future, seeing him force himself into this marriage with Flax, who deserves better, despite knowing theres someone out there who he misses but cant quite recall and then dying at what can only be described as a young age. Those emails that he sent to Beryl especially really hit me in the feels. And then the next episode made me laugh so hard I fell off my chair. This episode is an earlier example, but the whole show is like this, making you cry, making you laugh, then making you cry again. Its beautiful, its like humanity itself, perfectly flawed.

I personally do not often care for BL shows, however this one feels so much more than that. If you're looking for a show which destroys your expectations. Watch Xiao Lu he Xiao Lan.
